Counterfeit cards are a real problem in this hobby, and the higher the value the worse it gets. Here is exactly what we do about it, so you know what you're buying before you buy it.

Every single is checked before it's listed

No card goes up for sale until it has been inspected by hand — print quality, colour, texture, edge layering and weight. Anything that doesn't look right doesn't get listed. If we can't be confident in a card, we don't sell it.

You see the exact card you'll receive

The first image on a single's listing is a reference shot. The photographs after it are of the specific copy you'll be sent — front and back — so you can judge the print and the condition yourself before you order. Nothing is sold from a stock photo alone.

Condition is graded down, not up

We grade to standard TCG condition definitions, and when a card sits on the line between two grades we list it as the lower one. Our card condition guide sets out what each grade means in practice.

Sealed product comes through official distribution

Booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, tins and bundles are sourced through official distribution channels. That is also why sealed Pokémon product is final sale — it's the only way to guarantee that what you receive genuinely hasn't been weighed, searched or resealed.

If we ever get it wrong

If you have reason to doubt something you bought from us, contact us and we will make it right — a full refund including original shipping, regardless of our normal returns policy and regardless of how long you've had it. That guarantee is the whole point of buying from a shop instead of a stranger.
